9/11

I looked out my front window today and saw the flags. At first I didn't know why they were up, and then I realized what day it was. 9/11. I remember this day like it was yesterday. I was pregnant with Lily and turned on the tv first thing in the morning and saw the 2nd plane fly into one of the Twin Towers. So many awful things happened on that day, but so many good things happened in the following weeks. I think about those families today who lost loved ones, and I think about those who were heroes on this day 7 years ago. I am so thankful to be an American. God Bless the USA!

I was pregnant too. That day is something we'll never forget.

I remember it so well. My sister and brother in law live in New Jersey about 17 miles out of NYC. My bro-in-law worked in NYC at the time of the attack. His building was within 100 yards of world trade. I was talking with my sister on the phone and she was so upset because she couldn't get a hold of her husband. He is the type that would go help where help was needed. Fortunately, he got out of there as soon as he could and all was well. I remember the strange and quiet feeling that I felt in my own neighborhood. I can only imagine the mood that was in that city. I'M SO PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!
