My sister and brother in l...I remember it so well. My sister and brother in law live in New Jersey about 17 miles out of NYC. My bro-in-law worked in NYC at the time of the attack. His building was within 100 yards of world trade. I was talking with my sister on the phone and she was so upset because she couldn't get a hold of her husband. He is the type that would go help where help was needed. Fortunately, he got out of there as soon as he could and all was well. I remember the strange and quiet feeling that I felt in my own neighborhood. I can only imagine the mood that was in that city.
